This is a skirt-weight wool, not warm enough even for winter days here on the we(s)t coast. I have it virtually finished, have to re-do the neckline, it's too close to the body. I run into that sort of thing a lot, being too particular about measuring. When we built a house in the '70s my husband, being an engineer, and me, being a particular sewer had multiple problems when we put up drywall by being too darn finicky with the fit. We both gasped in horror when a hired carpenter took a step back in the bathroom and with a hammer, made a hole for the pipes through the drywall. It would have taken us a lot of time and multiple fittings to get the hole just the "right" size. Live and learn.
