I started sewing clothes for my dolls at age 3, and got my first sewing machine at age 7 - a hand crank Singer chain stitch machine for traveling. And then a full-size treadle when I was 10. Sewed my first personal garment: pajamas, when I was 10, with help from my Mom.
I love hand sewing and couture sewing, and am learning to fit my changing (maturing) body. Now that I'm retired, I have lots of time for learning!
I live in NW Montana, near Glacier National Park, on Flathead Lake. This is where I grew up, but I spent most of my adult years in Portland Oregon, until I retired and returned home.
