Worst sewing experience

MNohrDesigns | Posted in Talk With Us on

I was doing an internship in couture bridal company in shouthern california. My boss had me work on a project where the client brought her own vintage chiffon fabric. We came up with a design and I was in charge of the construction of it. Well she came in for the 1st fitting and guess what: when I ironed it the chiffon shrank so horribly at the bottom edge of the skirt. I walked out of the room looking like I had seen a ghost! I thought for sure i’d was fired. To my surprise she just came in and changed the design so that the solid satin below peeked out giving a border affect. The end design was much better!
