What is a fair rate to charge for sewing lessons?

photomom | Posted in Talk With Us on

I have been asked to give sewing lessons. Some will be on an individual bases and others will be a classroom setting. I would like to aske what a fair rate is for giving the classes. I live in Las Vegas/Henderson, Nevada area.

    sewing lessons

In a group setting you can charge less per person because they have less one on one attention.  Consider what you need to make to cover your time spent preparing lessons & homeowrk sheets and add in expense of having a space to have the class in.

For an individual class I charge the same rate per hour that I charge for sewing for someone ( I'm a dressmaker).
