spools with nowhere to hook end of thread

nanceee | Posted in Talk With Us on

I was having trouble with spools that had nowhere to hook the end of the thread between uses.  I discovered a great solution at the pharmacy.  It is called a Medi-Ring and it snaps around a pill bottle so you can label it.  It turns out it works great to snap around a spool of thread.  It keeps that thread from coming loose.  Problem solved!

I think the slit is missing since many machines now feed off a horizontal spool and the slit catches the thread.   It can create a bit of the mess in the drawer but at least not on the machine.
