New to this site

Just discovered this site. Have offered interfacing for men’s ties to someone before I read the rules of this site so don’t know how to proceed now??? Actually I have sewn for about 65 years starting with doll clothes at age 6, then clothing for myself, then others. Most recently quilts, for family members, then battered women and children & my most recent projects include sewing head coverings for cancer patients needing them and mending clothing for my whole family. They actually mail items to me, in California, USA, from all over the US. Seems few people know how to sew these days.I would welcome help in finding patterns for the head coverings.

    Welcome to the site!

Have you tried your local American Cancer Society chapter to see if patterns for the head coverings are available?

I have not. Thank you for the suggestion.  Jayne

Hi, check out the Nancy's Notions site, in the free projects section there is one called 'Creative Kindness' you will find several different styles of 'chemo caps', turbans and other things to make cancer patients more comfortable. MarshaK.

    Hi,

Nancy Zieman is always showing head coverings on her show. She probably sells patterns on her website http://www.nancysnotions.com.

Oops, sorry MarshaK. I see you have already posted about this.

Hi, it's no problem. The patterns available on Nancy's site are free, all the measurements for the pieces are given, I'm not sure if they can be printed out to size or if you just follow the instructions for measuring and cutting. MarshaK.
