It worked! Now I just have to figure out how to resize them so that they aren't so big. The quilt is a round robin that I made with five sewing machine collector friends.

OHHHHH.......THAT IS FANTASTIC.  BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!  I had to use upper case to yell out my feelings for that quilt.  I just love it.  Is is hand quilted?  Did you design it?  I just love it.  I wish it was in our quilt show.

Thanks for the nice comments. The only designing I did was making the center star block, everyone else just added borders as they saw fit. It is free-motion quilted on one of my treadles (that's the only way I sew, you know.) Here's a shot of the back of the quilt so you can see the quilting.

OOOHHHHH!!!!  That is a beautiful quilt.  You must have a very talented group because each of the sections looks like they all belong together, rather than done separately.  Thank you for sharing the picture with us, it turned out great.  I am sure you are very proud of the finished quilt and of your friends for putting it together.  What a great project.  I have been a quilter for a long time and have never done a round robin quilt project.  Was it easy to organize, and what are your guidelines for each person involved, and how many were there?

Thanks,

Carol

Well, I didn't organize this round robin. It was done with some collector friends from one of my sewing machine forums and one of the other gals was the coordinator. She really just got talking about it one day and pretty soon we had six of us interested enough to go ahead. The main problem with an internet group is that you really have no way of knowing whether or not you can count on the other members to stick with the committment. It took us about eight months to complete the quilts, so you need to look ahead and be sure that you'll have time to do what you want. If you like my quilt, check out the rest of them:

The first quilt featured is mine, but you'll get to see it at every step of the process. Then the rest of the quilts are shown in the same way. I think you'll be impressed.

What an amazing group of talented ladies!  Thank you so much for sharing the slide show with us.  I am so impressed with all of their use of color and form, rarely do I see so many quilts that are so pleasing to the eye.  The compositions are very detailed but not too busy so the eye has places to rest and then go on to the next detail, and then again to the whole quilt.  WOW!

Each person did their portion as they wanted, based on the part already done, and it ended up looking so unified and well balanced. What an amazing talented bunch of people! I am just astonished. Truly an amazing work of art. Thank you so much for sharing. Cathy

The picture comes up fine on my screen Annie. If it comes up too big on the screen go to View on the toolbar at the top of the page. Go to Zoom, and Zoom out. If you have your page set for a fairly large font size, the pictures often come up larger as well.

I love the quilt. It is so warm and relaxing in colour. Makes me think of forests and deer. Nice job. Bravo to you and your friends! Cathy

It's absolutely stunning!!!  I am making new pillows for the living room with pinecones embroidered on them.  The design and layout, colors, everything is great.  Hey, it would go great with my living room decor!  Your home looks warm and cozy.  Wish I lived close and could take classes with you for quilting!  Mary

Wonderful!  Made me smile!  I also enjoyed looking at the link... and noticed your impeccable skills for each of the ones you did.  You really are GOOD.  And, the idea is a good one.  Got me to thinking about whether I could pull something off with my friends.
