Looking for a machine for quilting

Lisa_Brush | Posted in Quilting and Home Decor on

Hello!
I am looking to buy a new machine for quilting. I am currently considering a Husqvarna/Viking Susan and a Brother PS-2500. I know Husky’s reputation, but don’t know anything about Brother’s reputation for sewing machines. Does anyone have an opinion about Brother or either one of these machines?
Thanks a ton-
Lisa

    Lisa,

From what I've read, heard and seen, Brother has an excellent reputation. It's a very old Japanese sewing machine co. (poss. the first) started by two brothers. They also make a full line of high quality industrial machines. Whether that model is right for your particular needs, I can't say. Have you looked at the
    b Brother Nouvell 1500
? It's reviewed in Threads No. 96. It looks really well designed. Good luck.
    Peter
