Black & White Quilt

rodezzy | Posted in Quilting and Home Decor on

Some quilts I’ve made.  The hand appliqued one has a little water on it from rushing to iron it before taking the pic.  Iron wasn’t hot enough.

Thanks for your kind works, do you make quilts?

Today my boss gave me a starter batter from his wife for an Amish Friendship Bread recipe.  I realized then that I had better make some quilts this Christmas for the kids.  I made a wall hanging for them a couple years ago and its time for me to get that on my October Sewing/Fiber arts list I posted yesterday in the general discussions.  Boy, I've got so much to do.  Maybe if I finish the Oct. stuff, I can put those on my Nov. list.  I better at least decide on the patterns.

I dabble with small quilts and wall hangings.  I have so many interests that my projects have to be fast and easy.

I sew, machine embroider & quilt for the family and the needy as a Red Cross volunteer; feed the birds, take care of an ailing old dog, feed the husband & attempt  plant survival (meaning that I get too busy with textiles and forget the plants).

Well, I understand.  I flick from one thing on to another very frequently and I have some other responsibilities.  But very often, I do as I please.  I don't know if thats a blessing or what.  My parents died in 1971 (natural father) and 1974 (birth mother).  My stepfather died one and half years ago, and I don't have a relationship with my stepmother.  This is not said to make anyone sad.  I'm a happy person and I'm enjoying life.  Just some details.
