   How lovely!  Your niece will love it.  And the fact that the pattern was used for a dress for her mum is wonderful.  I was surprised to see a pretty little summer frock posted in October until I noticed that you're from Australia - where it must be spring.  Here in the midwest of the U.S., I'm glad to see August end and ready for the cooler temperatures of autumn.  Best, Cynthia

   Thank you - there are some french knots  - I may have a new embroidery machine but I love to add french knots - makes it a little more individual.

   Beautifully done.........and I love the embroidery design!  Couldn't be cuter on that fabric.  The decorative stitching and knots around the yoke are a perfect touch!

   Thanks for posting the pictures.  I do so enjoy seeing what others have done.......such an inspiration!

   georgious little frock, I love to see little girls dressed as little girls and not as minature women, they grow up too quick as it is. It's great to see you and many of the talented ladies here dressing little girls.

   Thank you Lee - I am fortunate that my nieces appreciate the more traditional sewing and knitting I do for their children and the dress was received with great admiration.

   Oh Pauline, this dress is too cute!  I'm sure your grandniece is just precious wearing it.  My mom used to make similar ones for me and my sister...long ago!

   You do very nice work.  I love how you accented the machine embroidery with the hand stitches.  I would have never thought to do that.

   This is a very pretty dress and made to a high standard. Do you know what I love? The button back - I can't see it but it shows on the photo that that's what it is, and it's such a 'right' traditional fastening for this little dress. Beautiful.
