Hi, Becky. Yes, this picture is smaller, on my screen the photo is about 1.5 x 2 inches. It downloads and has to be opened separately from my Finder, as opposed to showing up on the Threads Discussions page. I wonder if there are instructions somewhere on the site from the technical gurus who designed and administer the Taunton sites, on how to manage the photo attachments?

mine downloads to my desktop too, but i can't open it as a window says i don't have the program to handle it (which is odd).
can you save it as a jpeg or gif file?

I thought that might happen to some if they don't use the same word processor I used.  Sorry!  It is just the same pic of the kitten tote.

I am not aware of any specified dimensions for this site but most sites require smaller images. If you go to Microsoft.com on the right hand side scroll down in the "most popular downloads" for Image resizer. Down load it and you will be good to go. Then when you want to upload a picture to the internet, you right click on your pic and then click on "resize image" and a window will open. You pick the size you want and in about 10 seconds you will have a new resized image without losing the original. You then upload the new image to the web. I have found that 600x800 resolution, or what they call medium, has worked on every site I have gone to. My camera is very high resolution so it takes forever to upload. This image resizing has made my life easier.

My camera has an "economy" mode, which I use for photos I want to post here. The kitten tote pic for example has dimentions of 640x480.  I was looking for a way to post something even smaller.

Thanks for the info on Image resizer.

Cute bag. To see it well, I increased the size to 200%.
