I hope so! I'm developing a bad head cold and I'm playing it by ear for the moment. If I'm not there, say "hi" to my friend Lisa who will go anyway. We have a couple of sites like this that we "team demo" at.

Oh I am sorry to hear that.  That can be so miserable.  Do take care of yourself.  If I miss you this time.........there will be other times.

          Take care.

Just wanted to let you know that I'm not going to be in New Richmond today. Woke up feeling worse than yesterday. I hope you will still go--my friend Lisa will be there with some pretty handcrank machines in the main farmhouse. Also, the Willow River Quilt guild show will be going on across the street at WITC and that's worth a visit, too. I will let you know the next time I'm demo-ing over that direction. I'd love to meet you!

I'm so sorry you're ill.  That is no fun.  You take care of yourself so you can get over this.  Yes, please alert me of the next time.  It wouldn't have to be New Richmond, either but anywhere in that general area.........well, western Wisconsin!  I just didn't think quick enough to go when you were at the one a bit further north......Hertl??  Can't remember.  Anyway, I would love to me you too.  And, yes, we're going....then from the festival we're heading to visiting DD and her family just a few miles north of New Richmond!  Fun day.  I'm delivering Taylor's jumper and some other things....shirts for her brother and a t-shirt and pants I threw together for her last night!

Please take care and get well soon.

I was in Hayward and then Cable a couple of weeks later. Sounds like you have a fun day planned. The big demo season is about over for the year, but things will start up again next summer, I'm sure.

Here is a hug to wish you get better quick! ((())) Am just on the mend myself, tissue box and chicken noodle soup mug not far away. Cathy

I hope you're feeling better......I know, these things don't go away quickly but maybe you'll be lucky.  Rest and behave yourself.........wish I could 'blink' you some chicken soup!

I met your friend Lisa.  A delightful gal.  We visited for a bit and I admired the machines and the quilts.  Then we went to the Quilt show across the street.  Wow!  It's good that you didn't try.......it was chilly and misty while we were there.  Not a nice fall day for the festival.  Too bad because they have a nice event.

I'm SO glad I didn't go yesterday! This cold's just getting worse and worse. I'm glad you got to meet Lisa--she's my best friend and such a sweetie. They've been in the middle of a whole-house remodeling project for a couple of years now and she's so excited that she was finally able to steal a corner from the living room for a sewing area again. Eventually, she'll have a whole sewing room, but for now at least she has a corner that's just for her. Her sewing machines are so awesome--did she mention that all of hers are pre-1900? She even machine quilts on a machine from the 1890s.

I'm so glad you didn't go as well.  The bone-chilling dampness wouldn't have been great for you.  I look forward to next season and when you're somewhere in the vicinity.  You'll have to let me know and I can surely make one of the demos.....somewhere!

Yes, Lisa is a delightful gal.  I could have chatted with her all afternoon.  Of course, I have never been accused of being 'loss for words'!! ha ha  She did tell us of some of her machines and showed us a couple that had been done on the old machines.  Just fascinating.  And the display at the college was wonderful.  I bought raffle tickets......he he .......wish me luck!!

Take care.  Fall is in the air here today.  I'm sure we'll have beautiful warm, sunny days yet and I love this time of year with the apples and pumpkins and fall colors.  My favorite!

Kay, that is one well dressed little one. Did you make the cord yourself also? it is perfect. Bravo. Cathy

    1. Crazy K | | #4

thanks so much.  The cord is really two colors of rick-rack which I intertwined.  The pink wasn't a close enough shade but mixing the brown with it, made it work.  The colors are a bit off on the picture.  I need to make more things for the poor little gal.......she has summer clothes but it's turning cool now.........grandma must get busy!!

That is so sweet, she will look adorable in it!  You did a great job, as always.  I love seeing your creations!  Thanks for sharing!  Mary

Oh, so cute!  As Cathy said, Taylor has got to be the best dressed little girl, thanks to Grandma.

Oh, so very cute; I love your details, too.  You've got one very lucky little girl there.  I hope she follows in her grandmother's foot steps and become a good little seamstress.  What fun that would be for both of you.

Charming!  Taylor's blessed with a creative grandmommy!  It reminds me of early Betsey Johnson stuff.  There was a special on her on "Intimate Portraits" last night.

Crazy K you look like you've got a gift!  And lucky Taylor is the beneficiary.
