Last sewing for Christmas for DGKs

Crazy K | Posted in Photo Gallery on

I finally finished my sewing for the DGKs……whew!  They’re coming Sunday so I have time to spare…….but a house to clean so maybe not extra time anyway!! ha ha

The outfits for the girls are sweatshirt fleece and designs from Emb. Library.  The camo is fleece for DGS…….

The pjs are flannel……..I had already posted the purple but now have the other ones done as well.

Thanks for looking……………….

Congradulations on all the great sewing.  The embroideries are very cute.  I haven't attempted designs on clothes yet.  The patterns are great for kids to get in and out of.  Have a great time with your family.

They are so professional looking.  Well, I should say (since you are a professional)  Great job.  giggle

Since when am I a professional????  Tee hee......just cuz I'm older than dirt and have been sewing since the earth cooled, I surely don't consider myself a professional.......You are waaaaay too kind, Rodezzy!  Glad you like my things.  I hope the kids do.......I thought those little designs were just too cute and I was lucky to have the pink sweatshirt fleece and the purple sweatshirt fleece in my stash.......how handy is that!?????  Boys all like camo, don't they?  I used reg. fleece for that.  The flannel jammies are cute enough that I'd like a pair like that............'cept I get too warm in flannel..........the old thermostat likes to stick at night..........used to be a freeze baby but no more!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Thanks for the nice compliments!

Your grandkids will love the clothes!  Super cute!  As for you now being 'hot stuff', give yourself 10 years & you'll be back to being 'freeze baby' - then you can make the fleece & flannel outfits for yourself :)  Have a wonderful weekend with the kids.

Those are the very facts that make you a professional.  You've been sewing for-ever!  And whats a professional?  A person that knows what they are doing in a particular area and does it well.  Some say you must have a piece of paper, and then those that sell their wares and are a success at it, is considered a professional.

Now those items you make....well I've seen lots worse sewing in some very expensive stores with very BIG name labels.  Now I don't want to slant anyone with "credentials" but your work is exquisite.

You could sell your wares and be very successful at it.  But you choose to give to the ones you love and create love through your wonderful talents.  Just like all of the ladies here and everywhere that put in the time, skill, attention to detail, embellishments with love for the person that will receive the end product in mind, and the joy in their hearts as they pass on that well made article to her(his) loved ones.

THAT'S A PROFESSIONAL TOO!!!!!!!! WITH LOVE.

Awwwwwwww, Rodezzy you are tooooo sweet!  Thank you for all the kind words and encouragement.  You are a dear!

Yep, been sewing for a long time.  I started when I was about 9.......sewed until I got too busy trying to work to feed my kids so took a break....then when the grandkids started arriving, I picked it back up and have been going like a house a'fire since!  Such fun now with all the nice fabrics......not to mention my wonderful machines and sergers!!  Woo-hoo!

Thanks again.........your words really mean a lot.

My heart smiles when I see the work on this site from all the wonderful men and women here.  Just love it.  The motivation here is incredible.  I want to sew, knit and crochet.  I'm almost there, I can see my table now.

My son helped me tonight.  Mentally, I couldn't create in the mess that is my space,,,,,but the holidays are over, the partying it slowed down, except for my birthday on the 16, and I'm almost clear of most of the mess.  Should be sewing real soon.  Like a few more days.

Very nice. Those necklines on the pick sweatshirts are great. I love Emboirdery Library designs. I used last years January freebies of Funky snowpeople on scaves for my son and his wife. They loved them and wore them the whole time they were at our house.
