Does anyone know of a source for liturgical garments – robes, cassocks, surplices, chasabules, etc.??
I’ve seen the limited selection the major companies have – McCalls, Butterick, Simplicity, etc.
I’m wondering if there are any small pattern company sources.
TIA.

Go to http://www.lyonslpgas.com/sewscape. Under "Patterns", you will find a selection for Liturgical patterns.
*Steve, check with your diocesan altar-guild group. They probably have lots of patterns for free. The other alternative is to find vestments you like and then make patterns from them.Cal
*There's a nifty book available quite reasonably from hamiltonbook.com called "The Patchwork Pilgrimage" by Jill Liddell. It has diagrams for patterns included. I have another book (somewhere) which has some excellent diagrams and instructions. If I locate it soon, I'll forward the name.
*I have patterns for chasuble, stole, dalmatic, cope and the other one - I can't think of the name right now - I've cut these patterns off existing items.
*I'm looking for a pattern for a healthy back bag, which is a shoulder bag that is a pricy item found in travel accessory catalogues. I figure I can make one better than spent the $179 asked for a medium sized one. It was featured in a sewing mag several years ago.
*House of White Birches published a book of quilted bags called Patchwork Purses. A knock off of the Healthy Back Bag is included. It is the small version, but you could enlarge it. The Healthy Back Bag really is a back-saver.
