gathers at the neck

I closed my side bust darts to create gathers in the front neckline.

It worked, except I would have liked more gathers (volume)

How can I achieve this?

Would I need to scoop out more at the neckline? It is a tank top.

You need to cut up the (post #34316, reply #1 of 1)

You need to cut up the pattern adding more space for fabric  at the neck and keeping width  hem line the same.
