Simplicity Embroid. System

misscransto1 | Posted in Machine Embroidery on

I read the review in Threads on this system–has anyone out there used it? Do you think it would be good for an embroidery newbie? Thanks for any comments you can offer.

I do think it would be good for a newbie. I believe it comes with an instructional video, and from what I can tell (I'm a newbie and have taken a look at the machine here in the office), it's actually pretty self-explanatory. It's also an ecomonical way to get into machine embroidery. If you love it, you might later want to spring for a machine with more built-in features, but to start with, you can a lot with one of these stand-alones.

      Carol:

Thanks for your input. I was shopping for books at Amazon.com and found one at the unbelieveable price of $539.99 (free shipping too!) so guess what my DH is getting me for Christmas (even tho' I haven't had the courage to tell him yet.) Ho, ho, ho is all I can say! I appreciate your help.

Have a great time with you rnew machine. Are  you going to wrap it up and put it under the tree? Don't tell your husband--it should be a surprise for someone, right?!

Was your husband surprised at the gift he gave you?   My husband and I do quite a lot of shopping that way and it seems to work just fine.  As long as there is one real surprise in there.           rjf

and sometimes I forget what I got for him to give me so it really is a surprise.  But not if it's a new sewing machine..........you couldn't forget that.
