   What brand of stabilizer is it?  I have never had this problem with rinse aways and have used them for years both under and on top of the fabric to be embroidered.  I have never had to rinse overnight, usually a few minutes at most. 

   I once embroidered lacy butterflys all over a favorite shirt with the tear away stabilizer on top by mistake!  I was never able to remove all the stabilizer!  What a waste of thread and time not to mention the cute shirt! 

   With a free standing embroidery, you mean no fabric right?  I wonder if the stabilizer is actually gone but the rose is not laying flat?  You may have to block it and press with a press cloth to get it's shape back.  Sometimes alot of steam or spray starch will help too. 

   One other thought is some of those free standing designs need to be done with a lighter weight thread, the 40 wt embroidery thread might even be too heavy.  What thread was in the bobbin?

   Did you use warm water?  Maybe with a drop of dishwashing (not dishwasher) detergent?  Hope something works for you and you do not have to consider my "PS". 

   PS:     I keep sew-outs that I think are not up to par.  You never know when you might find a use for them later on.  If nothing more than for reference.

   The Rinsaway stablizer is a new pkg labled that way and how to make it rinse away.  However, I tried warm water, dishwashing soap nothing disappeared.  The bobbin thread was the same as the top thread.  Maybe this is one that bites the dust as the stitching that does lacy design isnt good either.  Just not pleased with the design.  However, I am willing to try with the applique of the design using organza.  Let you know next week.

   I wonder if it is a problem with the digitizing itself.  Some of those lacy designs have to be done with 60wt thread or even worse, 100wt thread which only comes in black, white, and cream.  Good luck on trying it on the organza!  I still don't understand why the rinse away stabilizer didn't work, maybe there is an 800 # on the package?  Mary

   Hi Margie,

   "Perfect Sew" stabilizer is that what PunchwithJudy sell? I can't make out the details on the bottle on their shopping webpage.

   I think the stabiizer is simply mislabeled as I washed it in the washing machine and looks the same.  Oh well, will try something else.  thanks for your thoughts on this delima.

   Wow!  I've been machine embroidering for years and never heard of that problem!  I hope you will notify the company so they can recall it!  I am sorry this happened to you, maybe the store will refund your money?  Mary

   Hi,  I'm not sure if Punch with Judy sell it as I bought mine in a fabric shop.  It probably is as I think it is the only stabillizer that comes in a bottle.

   Marg, I think it could be the same as it is in a bottle. I will look around closer to home first. CherryPops
