   Doris I am an "old digitizer" from when they first brought out digitizing for the general market and I will tell you the best thing that you can do is "play, play, play." If your program has a tutorial play with that to begin with.  Also shame on whoever sold you this program without giving you some basic instructions to get you started.  Also get your self some basic clipart and get going with the basics.  And best of all just have some fun with it and also study or watch the way your other embroidery designs stitch out and you will learn a lot that way especially if you study something like a Cactus Punch design or one from Embroidery Arts.  And then when you have some experience and understand your program a bit better you may want to take some classes that are sometimes offered at some of the Sewing and Craft Expos.  Good Luck and let me know if you have any other digitizing questions.

   Thanks, Terry, for the encouragement.  When I retire I will have time to play.  Meanwhile, I will study other designs.  Thanks for the words of wisdom also.  I hope someday to be able to digitize because I have so many ideas.
