   I buy it from my Bernina dealer and have had great success using it for FSL.  I would like to know if anyone has any ideas for the scraps since it is so expensive.

   thanks for answering, but buy what? my bernina dealer does not cary badgemaster and claims does not know who make it. i buy all of my stabilizer from the viking dealer (inside of joann fabric) becauce she is close and the one who got me started on the lace bowls and baskets...thanks Pam

   Try the  OESD website. they sell all of these stabilizers and Isacord thread. Some beautiful designs, too.http://www.embroideryonline.com

   I have had fairly good luck ironing badgemaster together. Lay the pieces out on half of a paper bag, cover them with the other half then use a hot, dry iron (steam will make a mess!) to press the sandwich. If you have used an adhesive spray on the badgemaster the first time around this method doesn't work. I also saw a suggestion to piece the badgemaster scraps together with water soluble thread.    Thanks I'll try that.  I knew there had to be some way to do it and I figured sewing would weaken it too much so you could'nt get a good hooping.

   These instructions for washing free-standing lace items use Vilene scraps to stiffen them again. Could you use your Badgemaster stabilizer the same way...http://www.advanced-embroidery-designs.com/projects/guide_freestanding_washing.html

   Thank you.  this also reminds me of an old suggestion for dissolving Solvy and using the solution to stiffen fabrics like Perfect Sew.  Good thing I saved all those scraps.  Last Christmas I did an entire village in FSL so I have a lot of scraps.
