Babylock embroidery — owners, anyone?

Hello,
I’m thinking about buying an embroidery machine. I currently have a Babylock serger and it has been an excellent machine, so I’m inclined to buy a Babylock embroidery machine.
I’m open to buying any of the models that they have but feel a little squeamish about spending that much money.
I’ve looked for various comparisons of high-end machines but have not found any so far. So, I’d like to hear some feedback from owners.
I may go as far as the Ellegante. It looks like it can sew anything and make dinner too. Any Ellegante owners out there?

I had a Deco 500 and then upgraded to a Esante and I love it. But I guess it would depend on how much you are going to be doing and what kind of things. After using my "beginner" one for a year I knew I wanted to stick with BabyLock but needed a upgraded machine. You might want to check out your local Babylock dealer and see if they have a used machine. They will still honor any warranty. I also didn't have a huge "sticker shock" on my machine and I am totally satisfied. Good luck.

Hi, I have a babylock ellageo and love it, I also have a brother ult2003d and also love it, they are almost identical. I have been looking at the high end invovis from brother because it has a larger hoop than the ellegante.
I have a Baby Lock Ellure - I love it - I don't do a lot of embroidery - I want to - I am still a little fearful of messing it up. The testouts I do are fine. I would love to upgrade to a machine that has the screen where you can see the design, move it and change it just before stitching it.
The other thing I would consider is the Brother (some of their models are identical to Babylock) if you think you will ever want the Disney designs. Brother is the only one able to use their designs and they will not work unless they are on a compatible Brother machine. I don't know why Disney has such a lock on their designs - it seems to me the more people see the designs the more interested in their other products people would be. If you ever stitch a Disney design there are some specific rules to using their designs. Not being able to sell an article of clothing you made with a design on it is one of their rules. I would love to have an additional embroidery machine - then I could sew and change the threads at the same time.

I have an Ellure also...love it and embroider on it almost every day. I rarely use it for regular sewing.
There's a good reason for that - Brother makes Babylock (not all the machines - the embroidery ones)!!!
