Nicky Epstein Books and Crafty Things

rodezzy2 | Posted in Knitting and Crochet on

Nicky Epstien has such beautiful books, I buy them for the pictures if I never make a single thing from them.  I must get the rest of her books.  When I pass on, there will be a treasure of books for someone.  Neither of my grands are into stitching anything.  But they are young, maybe my passion will be transfered to them as they become adult women.  Sometimes people don’t discover their crafty side until adulthood.  Well, I will be at peace that I had the opportunity to explore my crafts as freely as I want, even if just worshipping other artists and what they’ve done, because I love looking through my books.  Sometimes I go to bed with a pile of books, lulled into a calm and restful sleep by the beauty of fabric, yarn, beads, and all things crafty.

I love to look at beautiful things before falling to sleep, too!  It helps the creative process, I'm convinced!

    Hi Rodezzy!

Her three books on knitted edgings are destined to  be classics - they are fabulous.

Nothing today.  It's snowing like crazy here and I can't transport anything out of here, so another do nothing day.  Well, I'm on vacation, so do nothing isn't all that bad.  I'm looking at knitting something today, instead of working.  At least that's something I don't need a work surface for.  giggle.  All of my yarn is reachable and my kneedles are reachable too.  So, I should knit something.  I know you love hearing that.  So, when I settle down mentally, I'll knit something today.

I'm trying.  I just ate a Lean Cuisine and it was so delicious, now I'm sleepy.  Just might crawl up in the middle of my bed and go to sleep for now.  Pop in a movie and knit something after that.
