Threads online bagging method

Sewreadydj | Posted in General Sewing Info on

HI.

I recently followed the online bagging methods from Threads.. All directions worked well except when I tried on the jacket. The hems in my sleeve and the bottom of the jacket seemed to be wavy and rippled not sure where this is coming from.. I have had  this happen alot. I am not sure how to correct it.   Can anybody identify what I am talking about?  Can you help me out??

If so please respond soon.

Thanks Deborah J.

My guess is that the sleeve seams didn't match up. Try releasing the sleeve hem and see if it makes a difference. When you match the sleeve seams, there are two seams to match (usually) which can be a bit confusing. Before you bag the sleeve lining, let the jacket hang on a hanger or form and straighten out the sleeve and sleeve lining, then match the seams with two pins (most instructions say to use one), one at each seamline. That will ensure that there is no twisting.
