Sewing Class

finey | Posted in General Sewing Info on

Hi Everyone,

Does anybody know a sewing class around Los Angeles area?  most of the classes that I found are from colleges. Also, what is the best sewing machine for a biginner?

Thank you so much and have a lovely day.

Annette

    Annette,

Sewing machine--on the Threads homepage you will find a chart comparing basic sewing machines that are on the market right now.

Sewing classes? Have you asked at a local Jo-Ann's about sewing classes in the store or in the area?

If you don't mind driving to Santa Monica, its called the Sewing Arts Center in Santa Monica. You will find the most helpful & nice staff REALLY. They offer all types of classes there from begining sewing to advance with technique. Quilting, home decorations, etc. They sell Viking & Bernina's sewing machines too, plus all types of fabric too.

      Hi Sheba,

Thank you so much for the helpful info.  I actually live very close to Santa Monica so it really works.

      Have a lovely day..

The owner Russell and staff are the nicest people that I met in a sewing store. Its not about spending money with them either like other sewing shops. Where no information is given over the phone you'll have to come in and they try to sell you a sewing machine.  Here's there website: http://www.sewingartscenter.com

        Good luck
