I need to take out stitching on a dark gray knit boucle fabric where the thread matches so perfectly I cannot distinguish it from the delicate knit threads.  Does anyone have a tip on how to do this without damaging the fabric?  I was thinking of dusting some white chalk on the wrong side of the fabric to see if the stitching some how stands out.  Thanks for your help.
