Scrubs tops?

shannonmgarvey | Posted in General Sewing Info on

Hello, I am having the HARDEST time sewing together the v-neck of a scrubs top. Has anyone else had problems? Any suggestions? I’ve gone over and over the pattern and it’s not working. I’m so frustrated with it, but I am determined to get it right. My sister is starting nursing school and I’d absolutely LOVE to give her a few tops if I can figure this out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Shannon

What pattern are you using?  I made scrub tops for my nurse step-son......I used Kwik Sew.  It has a bias piece set in that crosses over in the front.  I always worked o.k. for me.  I think the ladies Kwik Sew pattern is basically the same......just cut differently for the different body shape.  Robb loves his tops.........says they are really comfy.  I also made the pants, complete with cargo pockets on each leg, two deep side pockets and I put a back hip pocket of my own design on with velcro closing.  He needed a place for his wallet while working since their lockers weren't secure.

Can you explain further how the pattern is or what kind it is?

    Kay
