Question about lettuce edging on knit (post #35121)
sydneymath on Thu, 05/05/2011 - 12:27
Hello,
I'm not sure, after reading many posts about the new format, if anyone will see this question, or answer it, and if it'll appear today, tomorrow, or next week! Seems like it's not the way it used to be, as many have attested to.
But I'll give it a try.
I just put a new ribbed neck on a t-shirt and want to make a lettuce edge on it. No matter what foot, stitch, length, and width I use, it doesn't work! I have a ~ 30-year-old Bernina 910 which I still love! but can't find how to do this edging anyway. I don't have a serger.
Always 50 and raining in Seattle,

To create a lettuce edge, stretch the ribbing as much as possible and stitch the edge with a satin stitch or small zigzag (be sure to test a sample first).
