   If you will Google for tote bag patterns you will find a million of them online.

   Thanks. Right after I posted my request, I did google totes and you're right, I saw millions. I do want one with a zipper up top but I guess I can figure that out on my own.

   Also marc jacobs' tote was made from patent leather. Any idea where I can buy patent leather and is there any thing I should know about sewing it?

   You will need a sharp needle and you only get one chance. Removing stitching will leave holes! Many "fabrics" like that have a fabric type backing. If it does not, it may stick as it feeds under the needle. If you place tissue paper under and over it it should feed smoothly,(but then it is hard to see where you are going.) (Refer back to having only one chance.)

   I am in the midst of making a tote form McCalls 4400. I love this pattern and this is probably the 5-7th time I have made it. It is easy and I love the curved shape instead of the usual box tote shape. A hint: I use a layer of fusible fleece than a layer of fusible Decor Bond on top of that so my bags will keep their shape. I do not care for droopy bags and you really don't find droopy bags in the department stores. Bag making is great fun. Good luck. Oh, that pattern is out of print but I am sure you can get it with a google.

   Wow- Thanks for the info. Where do you get the fusible fleece and fisuble Decor Bond? Is that a type of interface? I also don't want a droopy bag. Does your pattern have a zipper on top or any inner pockets?
