Help! Tension problems? (I think)

susannahwollman | Posted in General Sewing Info on

My thread is tangling underneath the fabric. I think that it is caused by tension problems, but nothing I do seems to help. This just started. The last thing I sewed was fine.

It is possible that your upper thread is not seated in the tension disks.  You don't say what machine you have, but all machines have a tension disk, even if you can't see them.

Remove the thread from both the bobbincase and the upper threading and start over, preferably with a different thread just to test..

Make sure you have it threaded correctly.  It sounds like you make not have thread through the takeup lever.
