David Coffens Pant book

SewNancy | Posted in General Sewing Info on

I am reading David Coffens book on pants and I am stymied. In his coverage of the fly front, he shows a fly facing but not when or how to sew it to the fly. I am confused as to the order of construction here.
Can anyone help me?

By far the best instructions I have found for inserting a fly front zipper is in Sandra Betzina's book, Power Sewing Step by Step.

It is illustrated, and if you follow the directions exactly, you will have a professional fly front finish.     I now do my fly fronts in short order, and they are no longer a bug a boo for me.
