Sewing Room
My son and husband have decided to create a sewing room for me. It will be in the basement in the cold room. They are going to put up drywall as some of the walls are very rough cement. There is a new small window in the room. My house situated in a south view so it is very sunny during the day.
My room is approximately 5 1/2 x 9 1/2. My son wanted to put my sewing machine and serger on the other end of the wall but I felt that having the sewing machine under the window would give me a better light. There no lighting in the room except for a hang lamp. Hopefully sometime down the room they will put a light fixture it.
I wanted to getting some advice from people who have small sewing rooms. I don't know if I should have some cabinets on a wall or two or shelving. I know the room is already small but I don't want to make it look smaller. Also, I don't want the room to be junky looking. Any helpful ideas would be appreciated.
I have reviewed some sewing rooms pictures on the internet and are quite interesting but to be honest, I don't think I have come across any that are similar to my situation.
Thanks
