   Chiffon? Ooo that's a tough one. The usual route is to freeze it and then gently scrape as much from the fabric as you can. Then take a warm Iron to it with an old towel or soft paper towels to blot it.

   Keep changing  the position of the blotting fabric until no more wax is seen on it.

   Do you have a scrap of fabric to experiment on?

   The ironing will still work ... it will just take longer on a lower setting .... personal experience .... opps

   If you iron wax you guarentee that some will stay in the fabric - deep down in the fibers. This may not be a problem on clothes that are frequently worn, but in anything that is stored, it invites insects to come eat the wax, and destroy the fibres at the same time. Freezing and picking off the external wax is good. For what is left, there are quite effective solvents sold for this purpose. If you don't find them with other stain removal products, try with other cleaning products. I've used them both on fabrics (after checking for bleeding, of course) but also on metal church furnishings that were too large for hot water treatment.MarthaJeanne
