June Tailor Board

Stitchwitch | Posted in General Discussion on

I recently purchased a Palmer Pletsch DVD where they use the June Tailor Board.  In ther credits they referred to Nancys Notions.  I could not find it there.  Where can I purchase this product online?

    Hi,
Have you tried Clotilde's (also a sewing products catalog)? Or, I know this is a long shot but do you have a friendly quilting store that you could ask to special order this item? Good luck!!

Nancy's Notions index isn't really user friendly, so searching can be frustrating. Nevertheless, they still have the little goody you're looking for:

The tool is said to have been discontinued by the company, because sales had dropped to only a thousand per year, but it shows up on ebay now and then, and you can always, always google the name and get lucky on your sources.

This is the only place I could find it online. Do keyword search for June Tailor Board.

By all means, pursue Nancy's Notions....even if you have to call them.  I subscribe to their newsletter and it was there I say the announcement about the Tailor Board being discontinued and Nancy's had it on sale for $29.95, so I promptly ordered one and received it just a couple of days ago.

I just wanted to say that I have several of the June Tailor products. They have greatly enhanced my tailoring and sewing in general skills. I am upset to hear that they are scaling back. The June Tailor ironing mitt is my favorite ironing too. It enables me to put my hand inside, then place the mitt wherever I need to to iron over curves surfaces ets. It is wonderful for pressing sleeve caps. It is only one of the many tools of June Tailor that I have. I am really sorry to hear this news.

The June Tailor board is a pressing tool.  I've copied the description from the link provided above:

        Meg,

Thank you so very much.  I've been sewing for more years than I care to mention and this is one "tool" I had not come across.  It seems like a winner.  I'm sorry to see from the other postings that it is being discontinued.  Zuwena

PS Where was the link.  Maybe it's still available some places.  Zuwena
