Asian Pin Cushions

cheetahgirl | Posted in General Discussion on

In a few issues back there were some very unique pin cushions, the one’s with the little Asian people holding hands, does anyone know where I can find these?

I had one of those when I was a young girl.  I would also love to get one.  Mary

i wore mine out years ago. import stores used to carry them, back before Pier 1 came along. i had 2; my first had about a dozen people around a circle and the other was 2 holding hands across a smaller cushion

These pin cushions are often available on e-bay in Australia - several on there at the moment. I assume ebay US will have some too.

cheetahgirl - what general area do you live in? I still see those little pincushions in several of Toronto's Chinatowns.

I bought mine in Chinatown in San Francisco. It was quite a few years ago but maybe some Asian import store sells them over the internet.

I think I got mine from either Pier 1 or Cost Plus World Market.
