Time to reflect!

JanF | Posted in Gather For A Chat on

Just a very quick note – I’m off to another Xmas lunch – and we haven’t got to the day yet!
Just thought I would like to wish everyone I have corresponded with over the last year, every good wish for Christmas. I have not been very active on the web over the last few weeks – you know – same as everyone else – too much to do and too little time to do it in!
However – I think I detect a similar trait in all of us – when I look at dates for posts – most of us have been too busy for “idle” chit chat!
In fact the latest magazine has been beside my chair since it arrived – only glanced at and then lost under the pile of other stuff!
Perhaps the holiday time might be giving me the time to really read it!!
Only 1 last commitment- Christmas Eve playing handbells for the Blessing of the Crib in our local church and then I’m going to get merrily tipsy looking at the TV drivel(you never know – might see something brilliant)
If anyone gets the chance to view BBC’s latest Oliver Twist – you should – it was fantastic! That and Strictly Come Dancing are probably the only things I’ve watched in weeks – but worth it!
Here’s wishing everyone a peaceful New Year
Jan

Dear JanF:  I read your post to my husband and we both had a giggle.  Your post is a great example of one of the things I love about Gatherings ...  a sense of community.  Enjoy the next wee bit of time where you have a bit more of it to yourself.  Scrubble4

I LOVE this time of year.  Relax.  Take a breath.  If you are lucky enough to watch the snow, enjoy!  A good book, a soft chair, a glass or a cup of your pleasure, and a dog to pet.

One more deep breath and it's New Years, Taxes, Super Bowl, and on and on and on.  Gail
