   My spring/summer wardrobe is in sad shape.  I need to go through the clothes and decide what are the most critical holes.  I will be sewing a new jacket next month in a class.  If time permits, I want to weave a pink wool shawl in a lace pattern.  I would also like to weave fabric for a blouse.  I have the warp wound for one and a sample woven for another.

   The weather lately has been a bit warmer with lots of sunshine.  I will keep wearing wool skirts for a few more weeks so I can get by with a wool skirt and a warm shawl instead of needing a coat.

   Wool skirt, a nice blouse and a shawl or sweater is my All Time, All Time, very most favorite outfit! 

   Often it is too cool or too hot for that here in Missouri.  

   To day I have on a jumper and longsleeved top, which looks fine.  In another 2 weeks, I'll be sweating and sweltering and not knowing what to wear.  Gail

   Have you tried the tropical weight wools?  They might work for warmer temps than heavier wools.  When it is hot, linen more comfortable than cotton or rayon.  I really like linen/rayon blends for summer.  The rayon in the blend means the fabric drapes better and wrinkles less but you still get most of the heat benefits of linen.  We get hot in northern Utah in the summer but we don't have high humidity which helps a little.

   Today I am wearing a new royal blue wool dress and a knitted shawl with black wool and rainbow brights ladder yarn.  I have a coat in the car because I may need it before I get home tonight.  A good friend has several nice jumpers that look so comfy.  I need to think about adding one to my wardrobe.

   Wow....I am looking towards summer too! I can't wait! (summer is my most fav. season!!) = D Don't kno what i'm gonna do tho!!! = O

   I'm hoping to get back into wearing sundresses and skirts.  I'm so bored with my jeans!!!  I went to the Bali outlet store and bought several neutral tank/cami tops with built in supportive bras.  I like to wear them under tops, shawls, and jackets when it's warm enough.  Love hats too!  Mary

   I always find these posts give me chuckle, because I am upside down here.

   I am starting to wear my jeans and bring out my jumpers and blankets - our summer is offically over! boo hoo. The sun is still shining brightly, but air is becoming cooler.

   I look forward to reading about whatcha all are wearing in your warmer weather.

   I know what you mean, I was dreaming of summer, when you wrote about your warm weather and it was cold here.  I does seem so strange...Mary

   I love hearing from you and folks in Europe.  Makes me feel cosmopolitan even when I have never travelled off the North American continent.  I remember checking out where you are on Google Earth, onetime when you told us your location.  It does look like a corner of paradise.  How cold is cold for you in the height of your winter?

   To pick up on a trend I've noticed, I've vowed to make/buy longer tops that are slightly more fitted. I can't get away with the long, layered tanks and tees that are so popular among the young women right now, but they are making my short, boxy camp shirts (and me) look really old. Maybe I'll use a trusted pattern and add a couple of inches on the bottom, either in a contrasting fabric or in the same fabric.Last spring/summer, I enjoyed adding floral skirts; this year, I might try a couple of pencil skirts in twill or khaki as an alternative to jeans. With a placket or button front, they are slimming but easy to walk in.
