Hope Y’All Plan to Vote! (USA)

KharminJ | Posted in Gather For A Chat on

This is totally not intended to be a political thread – it’s more about exercising our democracy ~ I hope everyone here is registered to vote next month, and at least considers taking advantage if “early voting” is offered in your area. Your friendly neighborhood Election Judge (me) will thank you profusely! (no matter who you vote for) Bright Windy City Blessings! Kharmin

DH and I will be at the early voting polls tomorrow (10/27) to exercise our right to vote and have a voice in our government.

Good for you for being an Election Judge!  I already voted by mail in ballot!  Mary

Yes, it was one of my "get yourself out of the house!" moves, after I spent far-too-much-time in hospital for what turned out to be a thyroid condition, a couple of years ago. I've met wonderful people and stretched in many directions because of it! Makes for a couple of hectic and long days, but it's so-o-o-o worthwhile!

And "If you didn't vote, you've got no right to complain!"

      Bright Blessings, all!

      Kharmin

Eyhaa!  Way to go girl!  I think I need to get out of the house and do something too, but will have to wait until Spring to make any commitments. Mary

DH and I plan to vote early, one evening this week.  Both my parents work the polls on Election Day.

    Yep, already have!

Our county has two early voting locations, and business is brisk at both. A poll worker told me that one site was serving 77 people per hour by Wednesday, and at noon today, the line was about a hundred people long.
