shoulder seam fitting

leona_g | Posted in Fitting on

Hi, I have a problem with my dress bodice hanging to the back at the shoulder seams. I read here to add to the back shoulder seam and take off from the front seam…. now do I add the same amount to the bottom of the bodice waist? and how much should I add/take away? Thanks! Leona

If the waist seam is in the correct place, you do not need to do anything to it.  By taking from the front seam and adding to the back seam the same amount, you are only changing where the seam is on your shoulder.  I have to make this adjustment all the time for me.

Thanks! I'll try this and see if it helps!
