my sewing center is going to have measurement classes after the first.. so i thought i would wait and get measured... also, they are talking about getting a plotter printer, so we coul print full size.. would be easier.  i am looking foward to trying it early next year.. it was my holiday present to me!!!

I would like to know also. How would it work for a 50 something slightly "fluffy" woman?I saw and was intrigued by the ad in this month's Threads. I went to the web site but didn't get a good feel for the program.

I have this software and I cannot say enough good things about it.  I don't think I will ever buy another commercial pattern again.  It takes a bit of time to put all your measurements but it is well worth it.  I am now looking for a "plotter" printer to print my own patterns out.  I am a very curvasious cuddly woman and this software virtually eliminated all the time I used to spend "tweeking" every pattern I bought.  I am thrilled!!!!  I highly recommend this to anyone that has any fitting issues and loves to design.  This is just my opinion but I thought I would share it. :-)

I understand that there are only 20 styles in it, can you change them? put different necklines, sleeves etc on the garments? can you pick and choose where you put the darts? raise and lower waistlines? can you change the amount of ease in the settings?

Hi jjgg, you can change the styles and the options are virtually endless.  You can move the darts etc with ease.  I love this program.  This is the only one that I have seen in 3-D that lets you "view" your creation before you even print, cut or sew.  Not to mention you can chose your virtual fabric!  This has taken all the guess work out of working with plaids.  Once again, this is only my personal experience using this software.  :-)

            Thanks,
I saw a demo of the program , by a Bernina educator, but she didn't know how to do those things, she also only had a demo version of the program, so perhaps that was the problem. I'm glad to know you can change those things. I have the Wild Ginger software and love it.

jjgg, I never thought of using banner paper.  That is brilliant!!! I have checked my old printer that I had in storage and it will print banners.   Lucky I keep such things just in case.  :-)  I will be picking up the paper tomorrow and giving it a go.  I may not need to get the plotter after all.

My question on this software is will it work with other machines...I know it is designed with Bernina and I downloaded the sample to play with however most of the stitches I do have on my machine however I noticed the embroidery too...I searched around myself on the website and it didn't say anything about using this with other machines...with the stitches and such...I am assuming so...but that would be nice to know in the advertisement

the software - My Label has nothing to do with what sewing machine you use, it's a computer program, and prints patterns on your home printer

i did not like the site, but at my sewing store, he demo'd it well and i bought it.. they are going to have measurement class and get a plotter printer so we can bring in and have printed.. i have not tried it yet.. after the holiday

I print my patterns on banner paper, that way there is a lot less taping to have to do. But, I bought a new small printer to go with my lap top, seems these days the software for the printers don't support banner paper anymore.moral of the story, if you are going to buy a new printer, make sure it will print banner paper!

banner paper.. that is a good idea , the sewing store is going to charge about 10$ o print.. i will look into that.. i would think my office printer would do that..thank you karen

I buy the stuff for pin fed printers, it's cheaper that way. You then have to tear off the edges, but that is a small price to pay.$10.00 seems like an awful lot to have to pay - its more expensive than buying a patter. Yes, I know the fit will be better but still..
