Zippered fabric box problem

Trish | Posted in Feedback on Threads on

I tried to make the boxes from the January 2003 issue; “When the Gift is the Gift Wrap”.  Everything went well until I had to put the “ease the zipper ends back into the pull”….it was impossible.  I used a Talon zipper.  Is there some trick to achieving this; a specific brand of zipper?  Please help, the boxes look lovely and the author obviously could do it so where did I go wrong?

(I am trying to make these for Christmas so I am hoping someone will answer this soon.)  thank you.

As I recall, there was a good discussion of this problem at http://www.sewingworld.com

There's a (slightly slow) search feature that should allow you to find what ideas people came up with.

Hey, the discussion was right here! Makes sense, huh?

Well, I'm thoroughly confused!  How did this topic show up in so many places?  Do you think the problem is solved by now?  Or maybe the question is "Which problem?"                rjf
