   Best bet is to contact editorial staff. There is an email address to send your concerns directly to them. You will find it posted in your mag, or on the Threads site. Thanks for posting the great link to the blog! I think it will clear up some misunderstandings for a few readers. Cathy

   Thank you so much for posting this info and link.  I did make the top according to the Threads instructions (the instructions with the revised info about measuring and square sizes) and found it to be enormous.  The instructions that you posted for measuring are different and I can see how they would make a better fitting top.  I'm encouraged to make another one of these.

   Alice, THANK YOU for your link to your blog!  First, I agree with you on "giving credit where credit is due".  Too bad Threads either didn't know or didn't care enough to follow this old rule. Kinda tacky on their part.........

   Since I liked your directions so much, I just had to look around other parts of your blog too ........ what is summer vacation for, if not surfing and getting inspired?????  I enjoyed your Bog Coat a lot also -- maybe it will inspire me to make that too.  Now I need to get busy sewing instead of reading about it!!! 

   Woops!  Almost forgot to ask these questions:  For those of you who have made this Bias Top, how did it turn out for you and what did you think of it?  And did you use the instructions in Threads # 143/July or Alice's improved version?  Did it work better with a woven or knit fabric?  Any suggestions???

   Not to send anyone to another board, really, but the top has been reviewed and the complete item shown in photos at patternreview.comIt comes out looking quite nice in the right fabric.

   I made the top using both sets of measures yesterday. The idea was to make it for a friend (who is smaller than me) as I didnt think it would look good over my large bust.

   Using the measures from the Threads issue the top (made up in a very bias-stretchy polyester) was absolutely HUGE! It is going to be used as a swimsuit cover-up for me as it is so large. I was suprised to find it didnt ride up in front as I had expected.

   Using the measures from the blog the top came out much smaller and more as expected. I would say at this point that the smaller the square the shorter the top finished length.

   All said, I will be making this top again in my size to check that it still looks good when it actually fits properly! Thankyou for the blog link.

   I made myself a bias top and love it, not the one you girls are talking about just a pattern I have and put it on the bias in stead of the straight grain.

   I haven't sewn a bias cut for years and I forgot how good they fall on your body I am making another one for myself just love them.

   Reading about bias on threads brought it all back so I had to make one for myself.

   Have made 2 tops one on the bias and one just the normal way with the bias binding I made that as well in the same material here is a picture of the 2 tops I made or go to my project page and I have the back view as well it is
