Organza silk for a wedding gown?

Kim_G | Posted in Fabric and Trim on

I am looking for a gown for my wedding next july. I found one made of organza silk. I like it but am very concerned about it wrinkling more easily than other materials.
Does anyone know anything about this fabric who could enlighten me? I will be doing alot of sitting in the limo, at the church, at the dinner, etc. and would hate to have my gown wrinkle easily.
Thank you-
Kim G

Without actually touching the fabric, it would be hard for me to tell. But you can do a simple test on the dress to see if this would be a problem. Grab a handful of the skirt and squeeze it for about 10 seconds, then let it relax. If the wrinkles you just made do not fall out, then there will likely be a wrinkle problem for you. HTH
