Need Dog-Proof Fabric for Beanbag Chair

Gaelen_G | Posted in Fabric and Trim on

Hi all,
We recently got a Whippet puppy who LOVES to sleep in an old beanbag chair, but we’ve had to take it away from her because she keeps tearing holes in it and pulling the styrofoam out, making a big mess!! I’d like to make a cover for it (or just make a new beanbag and use the old filling) out of some type of fabric that will resist chewing. Any suggestions? Whippets are not super-chewers so I don’t need Kevlar, just something that’s difficult to poke holes in. Thanks!
Gaelen

Heavy denim or canvas work well.

*Some commercial dog beds use a heavy cotton duck or twill for the cover. These also have the advantage of being machine washable.I sympathize with you; our Basenji just ate a BIG hole in his nice fleecy dog bed. Fortunately, the furniture has remained unharmed (so far!)
