looking for good fabric
I live in the Midwest within resonable distance to three metropolitan areas. I'm looking for high-quality fabric that I can buy to make clothing that will last. All I have in the immediate area is the big chain stores chock full of cheap fleece and quilting fabric. I can't even find much on the Internet anymore. Does anyone know of a website or an independent shop in Minneapolis or Kansas City?

It depends on what you are trying to make. For skirts and trousers I'd go for linen and cotton, but they crease easily.
For tops, blouses and light jackets, silk, cotton, linen.
