Leather Jacket

busybee | Posted in Fabric and Trim on

Hi,

I,ve come across a pattern in Burda World of Fashion in Oct 2002 that I would love to make. They have made it in leather. Is there any reason why I shouldn,t use a woven fabric whatever ? Would it affect any part of the construction ? Would be glad of any info – Pattern Review have no review on it as far as I can see. Thanks Busybee

Sorry, I haven't made that jacket, but I'm in the process of taking apart a badly stained suede jacket to use as a pattern. Since leather doesn't ease well, I expected very well drafted sleeves; I was not disappointed. I suspect you'll find it a very well drafted pattern too and it will work beautifully in a woven.
