How to get wrinkles out of silky pile fabric?

Linnea56's picture

I bought a silky, shiny pile fabric to use as a backing for a faux fur blanket. It's knit, 100% polyester, and pile is less than 1/8" thick.

But it's the end of a bolt and quite wrinkled. It is the absolute perfect color and they had no more.

I spritzed it and laid it out flat overnight, but wrinkles are only slightly reduced. I don't own a steamer. I do not have washing instructions, as I assumed what I was making would never be washed.

Should I: dampen  it and put it in the dryer with a towel? Soak it? Iron it from the back, using steam, on top of a fluffy towel?

I appreciate your help. Thank you!
