   This isn't the answer you asked for concerning ready-made trim. But did you see the article in Threads that suggested unraveling threads of your fashion fabric yardage, grouping the threads together and then braiding them to make your own coordinated trim for a Chanel-type jacket? Depending on your fabric, another idea would be to cut bias strips, leave the edges raw, and either gather or pleat the strips to make a trim. Also, gathered or pleated strips of organza in a coordinating color, make a nice trim.

   If you check out the info videos and instruction tips on the different presser feet available for sewing machines, you will see what you can make yourself with a cording foot!  By sewing down different cords and threads, you can make your own glamourous and perfectly unique trim yourself.  Cathy

   Hello bevchris,

   Other than using threads from the material, which has been mentioned, I would suggest, if you can crochet, making your own braid with matching wool/cotton/metallic thread etc, or plaiting threads together is another option. Two online shops, here in the UK, sells nice trims etc. Web sites are http://www.bedecked.co.uk. and http://www.mccullochandwallis.co.uk. The latter has a big shop in London.I mention this in case you have relatives living over here. Both firms do mail order.Hope this helps.Parrot

   There are other places in the UK which sell that type of trim.I only mentioned the two because they sell online/mail order.Will see what else I can come up with and post it to you through Threads.
