   Maybe Fiskars would work for you?  Wiss?  It's about time our right handed world provided more tools for "wrong handed" people!  We love finding leftie tools for my FIL but they are few and far between.  Several people in my family are ambidextrous, which fascinates me. 

   My husband and children all tie their shoes differently than I do because a "leftie" taught them.  My husband does alot of things left handed and passes that trait along.  I noticed this years ago when watching them do macrame and fly tieing, it is interesting to watch.  They read the instructions, then recreate them inside out.  Has to be a healthy way of teaching kids to think outside of the box.

   My husband is very left handed, and so is our son.  I know it's sort of genetic, but not sure how.  What's funny is that I am really very right handed, but I use a scissors with my left hand.  Have no idea how or why. 

   I got my first pair of left handed scissors for my birthday one year when my mom, who worked in a fabric store, picked up the the left handed scissors by mistake one day at the cutting counter, and realised how awkward it was for her, and how awkward it must be for me to have to use other handed scissors all the time.

   Left-handedness occurs more frequently in firstborns apparently. My father, firstborn, was fully ambidextrous; my husband and daughter, both firstborns, are lefties. I'm firstborn and use both hands more or less equally. My doctor insists I'm a leftie who was forced into being a righthander. Not true! He bases this on the observations that I 'lead' with the left foot; that I close the right eye when squinting into the distance, etc. I use the mouse in my left hand simply because of having learnt on my husband's computer. I knit with both hands, and I certainly eat with both hands!

   Cool! I'm a first-born lefty, my grandfather was, and so is our oldest daughter. I think that lefties often develop ambidextrous abilities simply to cope with a right-handed world. I crochet and golf left-handed (feels more natural that way), used to do counted-cross stitch with the right hand on top and the left underneath. My grandfather was forced to use his right hand for writing. I've noticed that I have much less trouble doing things like adjusting the radio while driving than my right-handed husband does. We have some friends whose youngest son (6 years old) appears to be truly ambidextrous--he doesn't really favor either hand, although he did finally randomly select his right hand for writing since it makes life just a bit easier.    It's important to have the "right" tools that are comfortable too.  I am so glad that they finally sell rotary cutters with the softer larger handles, those hard plastic ones are difficult for me to hold.

   I'm a leftie, the only one in my family, but I do some things with my right hand, and a few with either hand.  Years ago I found a store which sold a multitude of items strictly for lefties.  Some of the items were ones I had never given a thought to, such as kitchen items, pots and pans, and ladles, and the like.  One item baffled me:  playing cards for the left-handed.  I wondered how they would be different----ah, yes, the numbers are in the other corner.  I must hold my cards like righties do so it never dawned on me.  I'm glad I use my right hand with scissors----it makes things so much easier.  A friend of mine is strictly left handed.  I don't know how she does it but she can cut things with any pair of scissors.
