softwear productions web orders – war…

Hi — on a different bulletin board, someone recommended buying notions from Softwear Productions in Chicago (they sell on the web at softwear productions.com). Just a buyer beware — they debited my account on the day of the order, I haven’t received the order in over 2 weeks, they don’t respond to e-mail and have disconnected their phone and fax. Not in bankruptcy, according to the Chicago Bankruptcy Court, but perhaps you shouldn’t place an order with them…..

Periodically sewers have had problems with softwear productions. It seems that when they get bogged down with orders/work they disconnect their phone and fax, and don't return e-mail messages. Hope you get your order soon.

*http://webx.taunton.com/WebX?230@@.efe42c1Let me 3rd the warning. Softwear Productions charged my account for an order June 15 that I still haven't received. I am trying to cancel and have my credit card reimbursed but they do not answer their phone and ignore e-mail. I currently have complaints in with various agencies and hope to have it resolved before too long but believe me, it's a headache. I'm sorry about this because I have ordered from Softwear before and have been well satisfied. My advice: shop elsewhere. -Laura

*When you have a problem go to your credit card company. There are strict guidelines about not debiting an account until an order is shipped! Remember that the merchant has been paid! Usually within 48 hours -- even though you've been waiting weeks. I think that some companies in a "cash flow" bind do this on purpose -- but it is NOT allowed by credit card companies!

*I am interested in purchasing a dressmaker form or a web site for computerized programming to make custom clothing.
