Machine purchase

user-1127205 | Posted in Equipment and Supplies on

Hi I am looking at purchasing a new sewing machine. i have been using a singer machine for the past 30 years. It’s still going strong. I thought I’d treat myself to a new one, maybe a little different. I have been thinking of the singer Futura Quartet 4 in 1 machine. Has anyone any experience of this machine?  The other machine I have seen is the Juki Exceed F400. Any thoughts on that?

Many thanks,

Deirdre

    Singer 4 in 1 vs Juki F400

These two choices are so different from each other.  For serious sewing, I might lean toward the Juki.

If you can, find dealers who have these brands.  Visit their stores.  Tell them the type of sewing you do or want to add to your repertoire.

Test as many different models as you can.

If nothing hits the spot.  Go to dealers with brands different than Juki or Singer.

Most likely none of the new machines are going to "feel" like your old Singer.  Don't let that discourage you.  New sewing machines do great sewing.
