Does anyone have the Koala Craft Center that is on sale in the latest flyer from Nancy’s Notions? You can see it at:
http://www.nancysnotions.com/product2.asp?sku=BCCWT&id=00200818431612538674
Anyway, is it worth $400 plus $50 shipping? I really need a good work area, am tired of using the top of a twin size bed! I have a fold up Dritz
“board” that I now use – I think it is made of cardboard – and have had it since I was in my teens! And THAT was ages ago!
I know there are cheaper ones at JoAnn’s, and they go on sale regularly. Perhaps that is better way to go?
I’ve even thought of replacing our small round kitchen table with a drop leaf model with extra leaves.
I’m concerned that the Koala top, which is 31″ x 72″, may be too narrow. Any opinions, please?

I have the drop leaf craft table that you can buy at JoAnn's or Hancock Fabrics and I really like it. I have a small sewing room and when I'm finished cutting, I just drop each end and push it back against a wall out of the way. I covered the top of my table with Olfa rotary cutting mats (two large and two small) which makes it convenient for using either shears or rotary cutters.
Hope this helps. DH has the plans to build me a sewing center that folds completely up until it looks like a credenz but have not idea when that will happen.
